What an Incredible Comic Book Wednesday!
Feb. 25th, 2015 10:29 pmSeriously, I can't remember the last week I read so many good books. I'm just going to list these the way they appear in "My Books" on Comixology, that with the ones I saw in the 'new releases' that I hadn't subscribed to in alphabetical order, followed by my subscriptions in alphabetical order. If I did have to rank them... I think it would look like Olympic event standings where four one-hundredths of a second can make the difference between first place and fourth place.
So:
Black Hood #1 by Swierczynski and Deering. Oh... wow. "When Philadelphia police officer Greg Hettinger stepped into the middle of a gunfight, hot lead shredded his face -- and he pulled the trigger, blind. Now Greg is waking up in a world where he's a killer, hopelessly scarred and hooked on painkillers. What does a man do when he can no longer face the world, yet still wants to do good? He puts on a hood..." Fantastic.
Spider-Man and the X-Men. It's light-hearted silly fun... but it's GOOD light-hearted silly fun. With a couple of poignant moments, too when the X-Babies show up.
ASM #15: Epilogue to Spider-Verse. Left me with a good feeling after I finished.
Daredevil #13. Grab it. Read it. Reread it. Love it. Tweet about it. Read it again. So... I kinda liked it. XD
Shield #3: Worth the price of admission just for Coulson's conversation with Spidey while Spidey is on the hood of his car.
Spider-Gwen #1: Wow. Abso-friggen-lutely beautiful.
Stray #3: It keeps getting better and better every issue.
Superior Iron Man #5: Loved it!
