dragonbat2006My original assignment has been up for awhile. Did a post-Dec 18th pinch-hit also. I usually try to take on a pinch-hit, if I have a passing familiarity with one of the fandoms. But after the initial posting deadline, I only step up if, after reading the request/characters/prompt I get a clear idea for a fic. With more time to pick away at it, I'll do it if I like the characters and have a vague idea that I can probably do something with the prompt, but with 4 days or less to submit, I need something more concrete.
Well, I got it and wrote it in two days. Spent another day rereading and fine-tuning.
So. Two fics in two fandoms I've never written in before. Fingers crossed that the recipients will like. And I see my own gift waiting in the queue for the archive to open. It taunts me.
Sigh. I'm gonna write some Batfic now.
